Lois J. Cooper

Lois J. Cooper, 70, of West Toledo passed away peacefully at her home on August 28, 2024. She was vacationing with her best friends, the Fab 4, at Lake James and suffered a cardiac arrest on August 16, and never regained consciousness. 

Lois worked at Frostbite Brands for 49 years, retiring in 2022. She loved to craft, watch HGTV and Hallmark, and float in her pool. After retirement, she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. 

Lois is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary; her children, Jill (Aaron) Sarkozi, Wendy (Scott) Kerschner, and Chad (Elizabeth) Cooper; and her grandchildren, Amber Alford (Bruce), Casey (Hannah) Alford, Sadie Sarkozi, Alleigh Sarkozi, Austin Radwanski, Rayna Radwanski, Sabrina Kerschner, Troy Kerschner and Allyson Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Lowell and Richard Gattes, and nephew, Robert Old. 

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation is being handled by Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300). 

The family would like to thank Joyce, Beth, Karen, Life Flight, and the Cardiac ICU nurses and doctors at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
