Lisa Marie Hunter

Lisa Marie Hunter, age 63, of Temperance, Michigan, was called home to Heaven on May 28, 2024. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on March 20, 1961, the youngest child of the late Harold and Mary (Macko) Hagarty.
Lisa graduated from Genoa High School in Genoa, Ohio, class of 1979. She gave birth to her only child, Amanda Marie Hagarty on September 5, 1983.
She worked in the bank vault at Fifth Third bank in downtown Toledo, as well as Hallmark Creations after achieving her Associates Degree in marketing from Owens Community College and then went to work at ProMedica Toledo at various locations and then into home health care with friends of the family, caring for families loved ones after receiving her medical assistants degree from Stautzenberger college.
Lisa married James Hunter on February 9, 2014, in Las Vegas , Nevada and they made their home in Monroe, Michigan, relocating to Temperance, Michigan in December of 2018, where she loved sitting outside admiring her flower beds, koi pond, her numerous birds that flocked to her feeders and spoiling her beloved black lab, Shadow.
Lisa loved riding on their motorcycle to no set destination; just always enjoying the ride with Jim, as well as, loved being at the beach, especially in the Caribbean, where she admired the beautiful deep blue water.
Her greatest pleasure was being a loving grandmother to her 10 grandchildren Hailey, Kiana, John Ryan, Scarlet, Mickey, John, Maddie, Teddy, Arya and Anakin. She enjoyed spending time with them going places and doing things or just watching them play; nothing could make her smile bigger than to see any or all of those kids even on her worst days!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving nephew, Ryan C. McDaniel.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are here loving husband, James Hunter; sister, Carol McDaniel and family; brother, Brian Hagarty and family; daughter, Amanda Milburn (Starseed); bonus daughters, Krista Braman (Joe), Kara Stapleton (John); bonus son, James Hunter; and her 10 grandchildren.
As per her wishes, there will be no viewing as she wished to be cremated and her ashes sprinkled in certain select locations where she found the most joy. A celebration of life will be scheduled this summer sometime at a to be decided location and date and will be posted on hers and Jim’s Facebook pages, along with Newcomers website.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have memorial donations to a worthwhile charity for colon cancer research.
