Linda F. Whaley

Linda F. Whaley, age 71, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Genacross of Wolf Creek with her daughter by her side. She was born on February 12, 1950 to Jim and Gladys (Heady) Biggs in Detroit, MI. Linda attended Bedford High School. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was an excellent landscape painter. Linda and her husband, Terry loved boating and being on the water. She was an avid fan of Dirty Dancing and Jersey Boys, and enjoyed watching the shows at the Stranahan Theatre with her daughters. Linda's smile, spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Ricky Biggs; and beloved grandparents, Betsy and Luke Heady and Nina and Jim Biggs. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Terry Whaley; mother, Gladys Biggs; children, Danyell, Kimberly, and Kirk Whaley and Dawn (Bob) Bialorucki; grandchildren, Joel, Kisara, Cody (Ashley), Paul, Hunter, Laura (Alex), Bryan, and Robert; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gail (Jim) Roth, Helen "Marie" (Dennis) Biggs-Durbin and Sandy (Jerry) Hazard; brothers, Jimmy (Annie), Johnny (Brenda) and Bobby Biggs; aunt, Mary Helen (Frans) Casteels; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
