Linda A. Lawniczak

Linda A. Lawniczak, 77, beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, and precious friend to many people in need, passed away Sunday, July 14th in the presence of her beloved family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Linda was born on March 31,1947 to Willard Middaugh and Eldora (Linkey) Middaugh in Toledo, OH. 

Linda was the heart and soul of her family. She married her husband Michael W. Lawniczak on August 5, 1967 at St. Anne's Church on Bancroft and Detroit Avenue. She gave birth to four wonderful children: Vanessa, Theresa, Leonard and Ronald. Linda was a remarkable homemaker. She always made sure that her husband and children were taken care of before she rushed out of the house to volunteer or assist other family members so that she could be home in time to welcome her children arriving home from school.

 Linda was gifted in many areas. She loved art--especially painting flowers of all kinds. She was also very talented at arranging flowers for weddings, funerals and special occasions. She attended Whitney High School and received private art lessons from a well-known artist in Toledo named Esther Hite. Linda put her talents to good use by volunteering at NW Ohio Food Bank, Salvation Army, St. Teresa's Church, and many other places. Linda was a very sociable person. She could talk to just about anyone and after a few minutes, they were friends. Linda loved taking vacations with her family, especially visiting her sister in Texas, and she also loved taking trips to various casinos with family members and friends. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Willard "Corky", Albert, and Dale Middaugh.

 She is survived by her loving husband, Michael; children: Vanessa (Jeff) Fink, Theresa (David) Hayes, Len (Melissa) Lawniczak, Ron (Kelly) Lawniczak; Grandchildren: Corey (Uthpala) Fink, Kristen Fink, Sarah Wilt, Hunter and Brandon Lawniczak; siblings: Karen Farve, Russ Middaugh and Faith Middaugh; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Linda is also survived by life-long "sister friends" Carolyn and Frances.

A memorial mass will celebrate Linda's life on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH at 10:00 a.m., preceded by a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo, OH. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda's memory.
