Linda L. Laffartha, age 60, passed away, Sunday, November 8, 2009, after a long, courageous battle, at the Cleveland Clinic. On December 6, 1948 she was born to Alfred and Juanita (Bacon) Stokes in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include, her devoted husband of 34 years, Herbert R. Laffartha Jr., daughter, Patsy (Fred) Clouse of Toledo; daughter, Brenda (Tom Carrillo) Stokes of Toledo; daughter, Vicki (Ray Woodall) Stokes of Toledo; son, Chris (Brooke) Laffartha of Toledo; grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Justin, Andrew, Andrea, Anthony, Raymond Jr., Aaron, and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Cameron; two step-grandsons, Fred Clouse Jr. and Tyler Wolff; brothers, Alfred (Cindy) Stokes, Harold (Pat) Howe, Barney (Pat) Howe; sister, Mary (Paul) Kline; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brother, Chuck Howe, nephew, Stacey Howe, and Aunt Grace Westfall.
Linda loved her family and she especially enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She devoted her time attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook and a loyal Buckeye fan.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
