Linda E. Gruber

Linda E. Gruber, age 70, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the University of Toledo Medical Center with loving family by her side. She was born on August 20, 1953 to Oren and Betty (Gottschalk) Williams in Toledo. Linda graduated in 1971 from Libbey High School. She became a LPN and certified Pharmacy Technician and worked the majority of her career at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for 45 years before retiring. While working at St. Vincent's she worked in the adolescent psychiatric unit, occupational health unit and the main pharmacy at the hospital.

Linda enjoyed traveling especially to Tennessee to visit her son and family. She was an excellent cook, baker and liked gardening and gambling. Linda was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers. However, her greatest love was for her family. Linda's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beverly Moharter and Pamela Williams; sister-in-law, Lynn Speiser; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Gruber; and niece, Jenny Malhotra. Left to cherish Linda's memory are her loving husband of 40 years, Jerry Edward Gruber; children, Timothy Ryan (Kerry) Gruber, Thomas Peter (Betsy Shinners) Gruber, and Julie Lynn Gruber; grandson, Cannon Elijah; father-in-law, Jerome Edward Gruber; brother, Jack (Susan) Williams; nieces, Jackie (Jason) Duty, Emily (Nick) Nemire, Christy (Craig) Minges, and Lauren Williams; nephews, Tab (Amber) Williams, and Daniel (Sarah) Speiser; brother-in-law, Tim Speiser; and many dear friends.

Memorial Mass for Linda will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 104 W. Broadway St., Maumee, OH 43537.
