Lincoln A. Cross

Toledo

Lincoln A. Cross of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on December 3, 2024, at Foundation Park in Toledo with his wife by his side. Born on November 5, 1935, in Toledo, Lincoln was the son of Grant Cross and Ida Mae (Porter) Cross. A proud graduate of Scott High School, afterwards he married and served in the United States Army from 1958-1964. After he left the army he returned to Toledo and worked for Schindler-Haughton Elevator and later hired at Cooper Tire in Bowling Green, Ohio. In his retirement he worked for Meijer as a greeter.

He was married to June A. Terrell, they spent 41 years together. Lincoln had a wide range of interests and passions that enriched his life. He loved to cook, he cherished family dinners and reunions. A self-described gamer, Lincoln enjoyed spending his time playing PlayStation, Xbox and was an avid collector of model cars and airplanes. He had a knack for fixing things and was known as a handyman and an artist. His love of cars and motorcycles also led him to become a member of a The Toledo Corvette Club.

Lincoln was preceded in death by his father, Grant; mother, Ida Mae; and brothers, Harold Porter and Edgar Cross. Lincoln leaves to cherish his wife of 41 years, June A. (Terrell) Cross; son, Byron Duvall (Jeanette) Mickey of the Netherlands; daughter Angela (Marc) Loving; grandchildren, Marc and Malinda (Robert) Loving; great-grandchildren, Raylin and Raegan Macklin; nieces, Terri Lynn Cross of Tucson, AZ and Melissa Ann Johnson of New York City; grandnephew, Omari; old friends and family. Lincoln will be fondly missed by all who knew him. 

A celebration of Life was held on December 16, 2024. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel.
