Lillie Mae Tellos
Lillie Mae Tellos, age 81, of Toledo went home to her Lord Monday, December 20, 2004 in Medical College Hospital. She was born February 19, 1923 to Ebb and Queenie Mae (Williams) Mack in Cassetta, Georgia. Lillie was a domestic worker for several area families for many years. She was also a longtime member of Indiana Missionary Baptist Church. Lillie enjoyed spending time with friends at the Lymon Liggins Senior Center as well spending time with her family. Lillie was a talented poet and shared her works with everyone. Lillie's favorite daily saying was "It ain't easy!"
In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore R. Tellos and brothers, Roger and Allen Williams and Otis and Albert Mack. Lillie is survived by her devoted daughter, Delores Hickman; granddaughters, Tina Marie Stills and Christie Hickman; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Mae (Larry) Smith and her daughters, Markeeta Smith of GA. and Lori Lynn Smith of Toledo; brothers, James (Brenda) and Henry (Nedra) Williams, both of California. Lillie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive guests Monday from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Tuesday from 12-1:00 p.m. in the Indiana Missionary Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Dr. Roberts. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
