Lillian C. Keller, age 85, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 in Heartland at Waterville Nursing Home. She was born September 24, 1921 to John and Molly (Sanoba) Thomaswick in Ford City, Pennsylvania. Lillian married Harry Keller on December 25, 1942 and preceded her in death in 1982. A talented writer, Lillian was the editor of the R-Echo at Rossford High School, where she kept the students intrigued with each installment of her serial stories. After graduating from Rossford High School, Lillian worked for Owens-Illinois. Later she was employed at Rossford Ordinance and then began a career as an administrative assistant with the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services for 20 years, retiring in 1977. Lillian loved and cherished her family and they will miss her deeply, but they know in their hearts that she is in her heavenly home, writing her Storybook.
Lillian is survived by her loving children, James (Brenda) Keller; Paula Bayles and Victoria (Tom) Hilty; grandchildren, Anthony (Kim); Christopher and Chad (Laura) Keller; and Lisa and Molly Willis; great grandchildren, Jessica and Austin Keller; M'boya and Myles Stewart and Benjamin and William Keller. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Thomaswick and precious great granddaughter, Maya Willis.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Fr. Gary Walters. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
