Letha L. Williams

December 10, 1931 — January 26, 2023

Letha L. "Doll Baby" Williams, age 91, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2023 at home with loving family by her side. She was born on December 10, 1931 to Willie Young and Mattie English in Rehobeth, Alabama. Letha worked for the Toledo Building Services for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader, gardener and an excellent cook. Letha enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, which she was proud of. She was a longtime member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where she helped create the youth department, the usher department, and a choir member. Letha's last role at church was being on the mother's board before becoming sick.

She loved nothing more than caring for others, especially family and friends. Letha had a huge heart and was generous to a fault, but you knew where you stood with her. She looked forward to family functions and any time spent with all of her grandchildren. Letha's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving her husband of 53 years, Roosevelt Williams; and son, Mark Williams. Left to cherish Letha's memory are her loving daughters, Barbara Williams-Harris, Michele Williams and Sharon Williams; grandchildren, DeLisha Smith, Brian (Brenna) Alexander, Leon (Charlene) Williams, Sade Robinson, Whitney Robinson, Victoria Williams, Brandon Thompson, Brittany Thompson, Mariah Robinson, Dennis Robinson, Jenifer (Donte) Leach, and Jeremy Sanders; great-grandchildren, Qianna, Takim, Aiyana, Leon Jr., Michael, Cameron, Xavier, Monte, Dalon Jr., Makell, DaJuan, Dustin, Jeremiah, Makayla, Makhi, Ayden, Anthony, Karmelo, Dakota, Dylan, King, Kennedi and baby Nova on the way; and many cousins and dear friends.

The family would like to say thank you to ProMedica Hospice along with caregiver, Jenifer Leach, that was provided to Letha. The love, care and compassion will never be forgotten.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, 416 Belmont Ave., Toledo, OH 43604 with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in church. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
