Leslie L. (Maupin) Galliers, age 64, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 3, 1949 to Dawson "Buck" and Veronica (Payne) Maupin in Toledo. Leslie was employed with Promedica for many years. She was a member of Dendarah Court Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. Leslie was a devoted mother to her only son Chad, who was the light of her life; he preceded her in death in November 2011. Leslie loved the beach, boating and just being on the water. She enjoyed arts and crafts, even participating in craft shows. Leslie was the light of her family, and loved nothing more than spending time with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father and son, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Timothy D. Bollin. Leslie is survived by her mom, Veronica "Ronnie" Lawrence; siblings, Timothy Maupin, Candy Bollin, Penelope (Michael) Nino and Kimberly (Jeffrey) McNally; special niece, Saylor; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and co-workers.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
