Lesile Dean Phillips of Toledo, passed away May 8, 2017. He was born February 21, 1941 to the late Lesile and Lois Phillips.

Dean served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He served in Vietnam in 1965. He achieved the ranks of Specialist E5. Throughout his life Dean collected figurines of cars and elephants. He had a large heart for animals and always quick to help a neighbor in need. After retiring, Dean became very outgoing volunteering his time to do home repairs throughout his community. He made friends everywhere he went, befriended the young and old and taking on the nickname "Dad" from the many children that looked up to him. Dean was a humble and kind man who showed his children the value of a hard day's work.

Left to cherish Dean's memory is his loving wife, of 42 years, Rita; children, Denise Phillips, Angela (Thomas) Strawn, James (Alexis) Swanson, Joshua (Natalie) Phillips, Elijah (Jonna Beth) Phillips and Gabrial (Tiffany) Phillips; grandchildren; Jasmine, Alex, Bryce, Skylar, Hunter, JayLee, Quintin, Gabriella, Isaiah, Davidson and Felicity; siblings, Mary Lou Youmans, Thomas Phillips, Robert Phillips and Dorothy Jensen.
