Leroy Feltz

December 23, 1940 — October 16, 2016

Leroy J. Feltz, Sr., age 75, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1940, in Temperance, MI to Kenneth and Luella (Cousino) Feltz. A US. Navy Veteran, Leroy served his country during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Spicer/Dana Corp. for 31 years retiring in 1994. He was a dedicated and hard worker, working various jobs to provide for his family. He worked lawn service, cutting down trees, concrete work and being a maintenance man for a couple of different school districts. Leroy knew his history and enjoyed talking history to anyone. He enjoyed watching old war movies for hours, and was an avid Detroit Tigers Baseball fan and the U of M Wolverine Football Fan. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving up north, but Leroy's pride and joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (Scott) Feltz; son, Leroy Jr. (Nancy) of Sylvania; daughters, Cathy (Louis) Ferrell of Toledo; Tammy (Samuel, Sr.) Ball of Toledo; Patty (Terry) Gutierrez of Toledo; son, Tim (Paula) Feltz of Lambertville, MI.; brother, Gary (Nancy) Feltz and sister-in-law, Pauline (Scott) Pietrykowski; grandchildren, Liz; laura; Desiree; Nicholas; Ryan; Melissa; Rachel; Katelyn; and many nieces and nephews. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Luella Feltz and sister, Shirley A. Stone.

A private visitation and graveside service were held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, with full Military Honors. Arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo.
