Leota Porter

Leota L. Porter, age 94, of Holland, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Flower Hospital. She was born on October 22, 1913. Leota worked at Champion Spark Plug and then went on to be a homemaker for many years. After raising her family she went on to work at Industrial Printing until she retired. Leota enjoyed doing arts and crafts and loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Porter, daughter, Karen Sue Haar and step-daughter, Connie Atkins. Leota is survived by her loving family, daughters: Marilyn (Ron) Woodward and Jeanne (James) Piotrowicz; grandchildren: Sue (Richard) Tibbits, Steven Woodward, Leslie (Tony) Mack and William Arnett; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

The visitation and services for Leota will be private per her request. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on Monday, January 28, 2008. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
