Leona Johnson

Leona B. Johnson, age 91 of Holland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15th, 2010. She was born to Siegfried and Ida (Zanter) Meyers on December 29th, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio. Leona loved her family, friends and especially baseball. She was a Member of Chester Zablocki Senior Center and Reformation Lutheran Church.

Preceding Leona in death are her parents; husband, George Johnson and brother, Waldemar (Mildred) Meyers. Survivors include her niece, Joyce Meyers and nephew, Ronald (Judy) Meyers; great-niece, Karen (Anthony) Kinner; great-nephew, Aaron (Deborah) Meyers; great-great-nieces, Gillian, Madeline and Natalie.

Leona would like to thank her dear friends, Betty, Mike and Joanne for their continued support over the years.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
