Lee VanDyke, age 65, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 20, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on February 15, 1946 to Bailey and Nelda (VanDyke) Milliken in Highland Park, Michigan. Lee moved to Toledo with her family as a young child and was a graduate of Whitmer High School. After graduating, she became a beautician for many years. Lee then moved to Las Vegas for 25 years and worked in jewelry sales. She loved to travel, crochet and was an avid cat lover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephews, Michael Heer and Steve Milliken, Jr. Lee is survived by her sister, Linda Kemmerer; brother, Steve (Debbie) Milliken; aunt, JoCile Lovette; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Priscilla) Heer, Sue (Tim) Crabtree, Mark, David and Elizabeth Milliken; and lifelong friends, Marie, Barb, Esther, Shellie, Sandy, Kay and The Cedoz family.
Graveside Memorial Services will take place Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 W. Central Ave., Toledo, OH 43606 in the Chapel of Peace. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
