Ledford Holt

Ledford Holt, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at his home. He was born August 13, 1931 in Whitley County, Kentucky to George and Tennessee "Tennie" (Shelly) Holt. Ledford was employed as a Welder and Union Representative Supervisor for Katy Steel. He was a member of the VFW Post # 3338. Ledford loved to spend time with his granddaughter, Heather, and was known as a "jack of all trades." In later years, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers and spending time with his buddies and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Loretta Holt, Penny McGovern, Denise (Jim) John, Timothy (Cindy) Holt and Tracy (Terri) Holt; grandchildren, Heather and Jonathan Shoup, Holly and Travis McGovern, Adam and Alyssa Holt; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ledford was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta R. Holt, and granddaughter, Megan John.

The family will receive guests Friday, April 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to daughter, Loretta Holt in Ledford's memory.
