Lawrence P. "Oggie" Badas, age 79, of Point Place, passed away Friday, May 27th, 2011 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born July 9th, 1931 to Peter and Anna (Sienkowski) Badas in Toledo, Ohio. Oggie retired from L.O.F., Pilkington after 30 years. He was an outdoorsman and held memberships with the Southern Michigan Sportsman Club and the NRA. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by, his daughter, Sharon Kay Kusner; son-in-law, Stephen Asbury; 5 brothers and 2 sisters, as well as, his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Ulch and brothers-in-law, Bob Recknagel and Bob Border. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Delores E. (Slates) Badas; sons, Paul (Becky), James (Teresa) and Michael (Carolynn) Badas; daughters, Cheryl Case and Shirley Asbury; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren with another one on the way, sister, Becky Zagura of Rockville, CT; in-laws, Donna Recknagel, Beatrice (Joe) Lattuca, Kathryn Border, Eleanor (Rolland) Thomas, and Edward (Jean) Slates and many dear friends.
At Oggie's request, there will be no visitation or services.
