Lawrence D. Johnson

Lawrence David Johnson, age 81, of Maumee, Ohio passed away July 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born July 19, 1934 in Elkins, West Virginia to Bernard and Pansy (Harris) Johnson. David was employed with the General Electric as a furnace operator for many years. David loved his family but most importantly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Lucille Johnson; daughter, Mary (Raymond) Harmacinski; granddaughter, Heather (Matthew Rachow) Draime; granddaughter-in-law, Sara Philips; step-grandson, Anton Harmacinski; great-grandchildren, Selena Harrison, Kaylee Burghardt, Lauren Burghardt, Devin Burghardt and Trinity Draime; step-great-grandchildren, Luther, Michela, Damien James, Amanda, David James, Madison, Xavier, Olivia and Riley; step-great, great granddaughters, Aleah and Allison; sister-in-law, Pauline Johnson. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, John David Johnson; grandson, John Eugene Philips, Jr.; brother, John Johnson; infant sister and step granddaughter, Holly Zimmer.

The family will receive guests Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 am. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
