Laverne M. Kaufman

Laverne M. Kaufman, age 92, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Ebeid Hospice. She was born on October 13, 1922 to William and Martha Conrad in Toledo. Laverne worked for the Board of Education for the Sylvania School System. She was a longtime member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Laverne enjoyed going to Lake Seneca and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul Kaufman; and brother, Bob Conrad. Laverne is survived by her sons, Thomas (Nancy), Ronald and Richard (Mary) Kaufman; grandchildren, Ron, Jr. (Brandy), Lindsay (Doug) and Kristy; great-grandchildren, Ava Jane, Mara Lynn, Eli William and Lyla Ruby on the way; lifelong friend, Edna Greenbaum; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2820 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo with visitation one hour prior in church. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
