LaVerna "Andi" Schumacher, age 57, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, February 3, 2022, after a long courageous battle with Breast Cancer, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 2, 1965 in Nebraska.
LaVerna graduated from Woodward high school and had spent her early years as a teacher's assistant at EOPA Headstart, then went on to be a tax preparation specialist for Jackson Hewitt, from which she retired. She shared a special love for Disney movies, and playing games with her family. LaVerna loved doing DIY projects with her grandsons on Saturday mornings. One of her most recent favorite past times was visiting the sunflower fields with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Nauman Shahid for never giving up and also all of the wonderful nurses on staff at St. Anne's Oncology department.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Schumacher; sister, Ramona Moll; nephew, Paul Williams III; and special brothers-in-law, Jack Moll Jr. and George Saba.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Andria (Courtney) Schumacher, Taylar Schumacher and Cash (Samantha) Schumacher; grandchildren, Marionna, Ayden, Markiel, Isaac, Isaiah, Paul, and Raeya; siblings, Robert (Alicia) Schumacher, Deborah Schumacher, Judith Schumacher, and Patricia (Sean) Pollard; and many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm, where a prayer service will be at 5:00 pm, with Minister Patricia Reed officiating.
