Laura Job
Laura Job, age 74, passed away on April 1st, 2006, at the Kingston Care Center of Sylvania, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann Burns; brother, Glenn Cromer and her children, Tom and Kevin Job, daughter, Pat Lungmus and her husband, Jack, and daughter, Lisa Keller and her husband, Doug. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Alexa Keller and Ellery, Carlyn, and Riley Lungmus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Job and her siblings, Ruth, Robert and James Cromer.
Laura was born in Toledo to Ralph and Rose (Marshall) Cromer on September 3, 1931. She attended Nazareth College, and received her Masters degree from Western Michigan University. She experienced great joy as an educator during her many years of teaching at Gesu, St. Theresa's and Mary Manse College. Laura was well respected for the service she felt privileged to provide to the City of Toledo, as Executive Director of Heritage South. Laura was a lover of literature, a connoisseur of culture, and an undaunted do-it-yourselfer. She is lovingly remembered by her family for her dignity, humor and strength. Laura had a great pride and love for her children and grandchildren with whom she shared a very special relationship.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
