Larry W. Pleasant

Larry W. Pleasant, age 51, of Toledo, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on June 10, 1960 to James and Virginia (Smith) Pleasant in Toledo. Larry worked in the landscaping business for over 25 years. He loved to play pool, enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially rummy. Larry loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 5 ½ years, Laurie Pleasant; children, Shannon (Matt) Ackerman, Jennifer (Dan) Imm and Derick (Stephanie) Duvall; grandchildren, Mia, Camerin, Christina, Matthew, Natalie and Maddox; siblings, Rebecca (William) Vinson and Roger (Elizabeth) Pleasant; special aunts, Betty Pleasant, June Shuman and Linda Rogers; special cousins, Cindy, Bruce and Teri; beloved dog, Toby; brother, Jim Pleasant; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
