Larry Stroud

June 22, 1941 — February 5, 2015

Larry Wayne Stroud, age 73, of Toledo, passed away February 5, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Larry was born June 22, 1941 in Dearborn to Sid and Marian (Keaney) Stroud. He started his career with the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI and for most of his life continued working in the automotive industry. Larry was also a realtor with the Danberry Realty Corporation and before his illness worked as a sales person for ADT. Larry and his wife attended Cedar Creek Church. Larry proudly served in the armed forces for 4 years during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Wayne State University. Larry was an avid reader, sports fan, listening to music and a lover of nature. Larry had a wonderful sense of humor, always had a smile on his face and loved by all. He will be deeply missed!

Larry is preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 20 years, Joyce Hudson Stroud, mother, Marian Stroud, son Christopher (Lorraine) Stroud, daughters Tracy Stroud, Kimberly (Glenn) Orwig and Angie (Arthur) Levy, 5 beautiful grandchildren Nicholas, Zachery, Christian, Katie and Sophie, nephew Tony Clark, and sister in law Jeanne (Byron) Garrett and their family, along with canine companion Bella and feline companion Pearl.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Oncology Doctors and Nurses of the 7th floor at The Toledo Hospital and to Ebeid Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Larry and his wife. Also, a very special thanks to his long time friend David Nicholson.

Memorial Services for Larry will be held at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home assisted the family with professional arrangements.
