Larry L. Busch, age 76, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on March 2, 1938 to Merlin and Twila (Eisaman) Busch in Napoleon, Ohio. Larry retired from United Parcel Service as a District Manager after 20 plus years of service. He then went on to start his own business of restoring and selling antique and classic bicycles and bicycle parts; Memory Lane Classics. Larry's reputation and knowledge of antique bicycles have made him known nationally. His bicycles and parts have been seen in feature films and television shows and are included in many famous collections. Larry was even featured in the Kickstand Magazine. His love of the 50's era included his collection of memorabilia, classic automobiles and music. Larry's gentle spirit and giving nature endeared him to all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Vicky Busch; grandson, Logan Busch; and step-son, Gary Dillingham. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Shirley Busch; children, Kevin Busch, Kimberly (Chad) Middleton, Steven (Julie) Busch, Rick (Amy) Busch; their mother, Margaret Busch; step-children, James Dillingham, Sandra (Donald) Steck, Dennis (Linda) Laurell, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Laurell and Bonnie (Dennis) Steck; grandchildren, Trevor, Dalton, Parker, Nate (Tiffany), Katie (Matt), Aleigh, Christopher (Allison), Laura and Michael; step-grandchildren, Misty (Brian), James, Chad, Mandi, Brandon (Stacy), Justin, Morgan, Sean (Amy), Michelle (Michael), Selina, Levi, Cody, Chad, Dana and Dennis Lee; 6 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; and work son, Jerry Herron; brother, Merlin Duane (Connie) Busch; and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
