Larry K. Goss

Larry K. Goss, age 81, resident of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born in Kentucky on January 28, 1943.

Larry graduated from Woodward High School. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Army. His time in the Army, which included time spent in Germany, reflected his dedication to his country. This experience not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a profound appreciation for travel and exploration. Larry took great joy in visiting new areas, broadening his horizons and embracing diverse cultures.

Larry dedicated over 30 years of his career to Libbey, where he had a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His contributions to the workforce were matched only by the warmth he showed to everyone around him.

For those who had the pleasure of knowing Larry, they would readily agree that he embodied the traits of a true gentleman. He was always very nice, quick to lend a hand, and eager to bring a smile to others. Larry's leisure pursuits were varied and fulfilling; he had a passion for golfing, fishing, and playing cards, often indulging in games of euchre, spades, and poker with friends and family.

He leaves behind a legacy rooted in hard work, kindness, and an enduring spirit of adventure. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving children, Larry, Christina, and Blane; many beloved grandchildren; brothers, Rodney and Butch; and a special nephew, Jeff Garner.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his twin brother, Harry and another brother, Bill. 

Larry will be laid to rest at Ravine Cemetery on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 am. Those wish to bid farewell to Larry and to be with the family, please meet directly at the cemetery before 11:00 am.
