Larry G. Clark
Larry G. Clark, age 67 of Toledo passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born September 27, 1943 to Louis and Martha (Whicker) Clark in Toledo. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Macomber High School and the Salutatorian of his class. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Larry was a dedicated worker at DuPont for 29 years as a skilled tradesman and he was depended on for his expertise. He attended Owens Community College to complete his electrical engineering degree. Larry enjoyed, gardening, bowling, reading, playing pool, and he was a superior chess player. His family will miss him dearly and will cherish the memories of him being a loving husband, father, papa, son, brother, friend and neighbor.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years, Kathie L. (VanLandingham) Clark; daughter, Lori A. Clark; grandson, Nicholas G. Clark who was so very special to Larry; brother, Carol (Donald) Allen and Nancy Sowders; brothers-in-law, Chuck VanLandingham and Jim Benson; dear friends, Jim (Kathy) Stein and Anne Clevenger. Preceding him in death were his parents; 7 year old daughter, Jennifer L. Clark; sister, Linda Benson and infant brother, Ronald.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
