Larry J. Bennett

Larry J. "Pa" Bennett, resident of Toledo, OH, passed away on May 16, 2024 at age 74. Born to the late James A. Bennett and Ilah M. (Wendt) Bennett. Beloved husband of 49 years to Ranee (Griss) Bennett. Adored father of Tiffany Koprowski and Brooke (Brian) Gump. Treasured "Pa" of Owen Gump, Olivia Koprowski, Ashton Koprowski, Averey Koprowski, and Tegan (Nick) Hoffman. Cherished Uncle of Jeff (Audra) Bennett (Austin and Chase). Brother of Tom (Pat) Bennett (Angie, Jodi and Families) Linda Bennett (Amy and Family) and best friend of Alan "The Master" Weintraub. Larry also leaves behind many more nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends.

Larry was a 1968 graduate of Whitmer High School and was part of the Whitmer Marching Band, where he learned to play the trumpet. After graduation, Larry earned his Associates Degree from the University of Toledo, and became a mechanical engineer. He worked at Champion Spark Plug for 21 years, and Toledo Transducers until he retired. Larry had a love for photography and spent many years taking team pictures for local youth sports teams. He was an avid fan of The Toledo Walleye and NASCAR, spending many weekends with his family attending games and races. He also enjoyed talking with people all over the world on his HAM Radio. Larry's most cherished time was supporting and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel at 4150 West Laskey Road Toledo, OH 43623.
