Kyle D. Peterson, age 45, of Toledo, passed away November 18, 2021 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Kyle was born October 21, 1976 in Toledo to David and Kay (Deitmyer) Peterson. Kyle's love for music was one of his passions steming from high school band to becoming the most awesome drummer in the Toledo band scene. Later after his music days, he found his next passion of becoming a chef, from owning his own restaurant to managing many kitchens in the area.
Kyle was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Browns and Red Wings fan. He had the love of traveling to Walt Disney World, over 30 times.
Kyle was a genuine, talented, kind, funny and most of all loving soul. He was everyone's friend and gave the best hugs. His heart was the absolute biggest and loved his family and friends to the most.
Kyle is survived by his sister, Kristina (Bill) Bates; nephews, Aiden Bates and Hayden Okerbloom; aunts and uncle, Leona Stivers, Jean (Mike) Medlen and Judy Barber; sister's by heart, Heidi (Patrick) Okerbloom and Meredyth (John) Grycza; brother by heart, Nick Anderson; several cousins and many close friends, Zak, Brad, Rob, Shaun, Dan and Mitzi, Josh and Cheryl and Fink. His cats, "Casper" and "Lucy". Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, David and Kay Peterson; grandparents, Norman and Thelma Deitmyer and Joseph and Doris Peterson and uncle, Dale Barber.
The family will receive guests Friday, November 26, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the ICU Staff at UTMC for the loving care they gave to Kyle.
