Kurtis Allen Handy, age 21, passed away on 1/11/19. He was born 6/9/97 in Angola, Indiana.
Kurtis is survived by his mother, Kimberly Payne; father, Dale Handy II; siblings, Arianna, Tyler, Dominic, Dakoda, DJ, Kaitlyn, Cody; Aunt Leona Payne, Uncle Brian Payne , Uncle Randy Mercer; grandmother, Gloria Carden; grandfather, Richard Payne; grandfather, Dale Handy; Uncle Shannon Handy; many cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his special grandfather, Kenneth Kopp; grandmother, Violet Handy; many great-aunts; great-uncles and great-grandparents.
Kurtis loved writing songs and rapping. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends who were like family to him. Kurtis was always there to make you smile, laugh and help others through tough times.
The family will receive guests on January 18, 2019 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
