Kimberly Rose Czerniak, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on November 17, 2024, at the age of 66. She was born on February 17, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Vern and Joyce (Schultz) Basilius.
A proud graduate of Rogers High School, class of 1976, Kimberly began her career in retail sales, where her warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression on her customers and colleagues alike. Her engaging personality made her a natural in the world of retail, where she thrived and built meaningful relationships.
Outside of work, Kimberly found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an enduring love for her dogs, who were her faithful companions and brought her immense joy. Her backyard, a sanctuary filled with wildlife, was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Kimberly took great pride in caring for her plants, not only as a hobby but as a reflection of her love for nature and all living things. She was very content with living simple with a beautiful backyard with an abundance of trees and wildlife roaming freely.
Family recipes were sacred to Kimberly, especially the cherished tradition of baking her Oma's famous apple cake. This sweet dessert brought back fond memories and held a special place in her heart, reminding her of the love and warmth shared with family through the art of cooking. Shopping was another one of her passions, and despite her busy life, Kimberly always left her home with her makeup impeccable and her hair perfectly styled, embracing her vibrant personality with grace and style
Faith was a cornerstone of Kimberly's life. She loved God deeply and held her beliefs close to her heart. This unwavering faith guided her through life and shaped the way she interacted with others. Her love for reading novels allowed her to explore new worlds, while her affinity for cop shows and mystery movies provided her with countless hours of entertainment and intrigue.
As we remember Kimberly, we will carry forth her legacy of love, compassion, and joy for life. She brought light into every room she entered, and her kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will endure in the memories we hold dear.
