Kevin Dean Willet

Kevin Dean Willet, age 65, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from cancer of the esophagus and a tumor in his stomach. He was born on July 13, 1957 in Toledo, OH. When younger he had issues with the law, but afterwards rehabilitated himself by earning his CDL and driving dump truck for a living. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Carol (Smelser) Willet and his stepfather, Victor Willet Sr. who legally adopted Kevin after his mom and stepfather married. He graduated from Summerfield High School in Petersburg, MI in 1975. Kevin played JV football one year before suffering a knee injury. His hobbies included auto mechanics, and racing cars. Some of the cars Kevin owned and raced were the Barracuda, Z28 Camero, and Dodge Charger.

He leaves behind siblings, Bruce Willet, of Sylvania, OH, Charles and his spouse Nancy Jeffrey, of Lambertville, MI and their children, Sarah, Justin, Shelley, and Adam Willet; twin siblings, Vickie and Victor Willet Jr, (Vickie of Toledo, OH and Victor of Monroe, MI); and many dear friends.

Per Kevin's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel (419-392-9500) assisted the family with professional services.
