Kevin Robert Sullivan, age 16, of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center from injuries sustained in a jet-skiing accident. He was born on July 30, 1999 to Steven R. and Robin K. (Gonyer) Sullivan in Sandusky, Ohio. Kevin was entering his Senior Year at Perkins High School where he participated in Varsity Tennis and had earned his Scholar Athlete Awards. He also previously played on the football team. He had a passion for music and was an active member of the drama club, starring in all three of his high school musicals as well as fall plays.
At such a young age, Kevin had a strong interest in current and world affairs, the most up-to-date technology, had a love for animals and enjoyed fishing with his family. His family will always remember Kevin for his wonderful sense of humor, contagious smile and kind hearted spirit.
In recent weeks after obtaining his driver's license and registering as an organ donor, his final selfless act was deciding to donate his organs to those who are in need and giving them the gift of life.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Steven (Robin) Sullivan; sister, Sarah Sullivan; paternal grandparents, Robert (Gloria) Sullivan and Elizabeth (Richard) Dombrowski; maternal grandparents, Bob (Kay) Gonyer; aunt, Betsy (James) Fiske; uncle, Matt Gonyer; a host of dear friends, many classmates, teachers and coaches, entirely too many to name.
His Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 where his family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Kevin's Memorial Service will begin in the church at 3:00 p.m.
