Kevin A. Elekonich
November 21, 1974 — January 27, 2022
Kevin A. Elekonich of Sylvania Township passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022, with his siblings by his side at the end of his battle with Covid.
Kevin was born November 21, 1974, to George and Marian Elekonich. He graduated from Sylvania Southview High School in 1994, and was currently working for Sylvania Public Schools, at Southview H.S., when he passed.
He loved going to old car shows, gathering friends and family together for barbecues, and he loved baking for his friends. Like his father, Kevin was always there to help when someone called him.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his siblings, Dr. Michelle (Ben) Reynolds Elekonich, Jim (Peggy) Elekonich, Jane Elekonich and Ann Valdez. Also survived by his nephews, Loren Elekonich, James (Samantha) Elekonich, Tony Elekonich, and his niece, Emily Elekonich, and great nephew, Jupiter Jura Elekonich. Also survived by his godmother, Ann Colleen Krebser. He will be missed by his beloved canine, Luna Mae, and a host of cousins and friends.
The family will receive guests Monday, February 7, 2022 from 12:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions- West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500). The family will also receive guests Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dogworks Ohio, the rescue facility where he met Luna Mae, or to the family.
