Kevin Benarth, age 48, of Swanton, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, with loving family by his side. He was born on July 21, 1974 to Robert and Janice (Hiltman) Benarth in Toledo. Kevin worked as a heavy machine operator for 15 years at Cardinal Aggregate in Perrysburg. He enjoyed camping, riding ATV's, side-by-side's and dirt bikes. Kevin loved spending time with friends and family any chance he could. He liked going shooting with friends. Kevin had a great sense of humor that will be missed. He was a die-hard Harry Potter fan. Kevin's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mildred Hiltman and Delbert and Ibert Benarth; and sister-in-law, Amie Howe. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 15 years, Shawna Benarth; daughters, Heaven Leach-Benarth and Alisha Leach-Benarth; parents, Bob and Janice Benarth; mother-in-law, Marie and Bill Daleska; brother, Brian (Janelle) Benarth; nephews, Joshua and Brandon Benarth; niece, Sydney "Boo" Howe; longtime best friends, Bob Rader, Jeremy Baum, Dallas Futch, and Tim Kruse; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
