Kenyon R. Cory, age 84, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, the fifth generation of Cory Family to live in this area. A hard working provider, Kenyon began his career in one of Toledo's largest steel foundries. He later became general manager for The Cleveland Metal Abrasive Company, where he built and supervised the operation of one of the first electric arc furnaces. In his later years, Kenyon owned and operated a fabricating business, designing and building heat treat furnaces. Kenyon was married to Marilyn Cory until her death in 2009. His hobbies were car repair and landscaping.
Kenyon will be deeply missed by his children; daughter, Marlene Wayton; son, Richard (Renae) Cory; grandchildren, Sasha Cory (Ed Beauregard) and Zachary Wayton and his little great-granddaughter, Xylah Beauregard; brothers, Lyman (Shirley) Cory and Milton Cory.
The family will receive guests on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at Noon. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
