Kent D. Myles

Kent D. Myles, age 67, of Temperance, MI, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on February 2, 1957 to James and Dorice Myles in Toledo, OH. Kent went to Whitmer High School. He was employed with Ryder Truck Leasing for 38 years before retiring in 2017. Kent enjoyed going to garage sales, antiquing, and taking long car rides. He also loved camping with his wife around many places. Kent liked listening to the “oldies but goodies” music from the 50’s and 60’s. 

Kent loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, James Myles; and sister, Marilyn Hendricks. Left to cherish Kent’s memory are his loving wife of almost 44 years, Karen Myles; children, Katrina (Hal) Moore, Jamie (David) Shields, Kenneth Myles, and William (Emily) Myles; grandchildren, Autumn (Larry), Angelica, Savannah, Tyler, Austyn, Ashlyn, Augie, and Gordie; great-grandson, Bryson; brother, Kurt Myles; close family friend, Candie (Joe) Nilles; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Eugene Harris. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park (meeting at the gates up front).
