Kenneth J. Moulton, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at StoryPoint, Waterville. He was born in September, 1930, to Irving and Elsie (Williams) Moulton, the third of four boys. He grew up in Northwood, Ohio, and graduated from Olney High School, where he played basketball, baseball, and horseshoes. Ken joined the U.S. Army, as part of the military police, and served in Korea.
In January, 1951, he married Christine Chappell. He worked in the maintenance department at General Mills, in Toledo, for 38 years, retiring in 1992. After his retirement, he and Chris travelled and camped in their Airstream with the Wally Byam Caravan Club International for several summers. His favorite passion was driving. He got a part-time gig driving for Yark Automotive, picking up and delivering cars to the dealership for 10 years.
He was an avid bowler and was known to bowl in three different leagues at one time. He accomplished two 300-games before he gave up the sport.
Ken was loved by all who knew him and was always willing to help where needed. He had a way of making one feel special. He was kind, funny, and loved to tease.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debbie (Ed) Timmons, Kristi (Tom) Robinson, Ken (Vanette) Moulton Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and his brother, Melvin Moulton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Frances; Christine, his wife of 60 years; son, David; grandson, Aaron; brothers, IRV and Merrill and step-brother, David.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at StoryPoint, Waterville and Elara Caring Hospice for their love, care, and compassion for Ken, especially during his last few days. We will be forever grateful.
