Kenneth L. Gehrs

Kenneth L. Gehrs, 67, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on October 15, 1946 to the late Edith and Kenneth Gehrs in Toledo, Ohio.
Kenn's passion was studying the Scriptures. His desire was to live a life that was pleasing to his Lord. Kenn was very artistic, he enjoyed painting, assembling model cars and detail painting them and spending time with the love of his life, Sylvia.
In addition to his parents, Kenn was preceded in death by his kid brother, Gary David. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Sylvia; sister, Karen Meek; special friend, Carol Whipple; nieces and nephews, Stacy (Lowell) Frusher, Tracy (Paul) Vincent, Samuel (Linda) Meek, Andrew (Andrea) Meek, Faith Gehrs and Rachel Gehrs; several great and great-great nieces and nephews and dear friends, Rex and Sylvia Branum and Tiffany and Dave Hammock.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 1-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to: The Christian Broadcasting Network, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, VA 23463.
