Kenneth L. Ferguson

Kenneth L. Ferguson, age 81, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ken was employed with Toledo Edison, retiring after 40 years of service. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees. Ken was a member of Garden Park Christian Church and loved to serve the Lord. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and treasured the time spent with his family and friends, which included traveling and vacations.

In addition to his parents, Grover and Magdalena Ferguson, Ken was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Terry Ferguson and sisters, Dorothy Rausch and Kathryn Fahringer. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Ferguson; daughters, Luanne Ferguson and Kim (Allen) Richards; grandchildren, Lyndsey (David) Tate, Michael Luft, Greyson Ferguson and Chrystyn Ferguson; "adopted children", Dennis and Beth Jackson and Susan Rufenacht . Also left to cherish his memory are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Garden Park Christian Church or the Cherry Street Mission.
