Kenneth "Kenny" E. Watson, Sr.

Kenneth E. Watson, Sr., fondly known as Kenny, passed away on April 21, 2025, at St. Anne Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on November 27, 1948, in Toledo, to Florence and George Watson.

Kenny dedicated 27 years of his life to serving the Lucas County Maintenance department, where his hard work and commitment were deeply appreciated. Aside from his career, he found joy in activities such as mowing grass and playing video games, which were essential parts of his everyday life.

He came from a large family of 13, which shaped his values and deepened his connections with those around him. Kenny's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Tammy Watson, whom he married on December 2, 1994. Kenny is survived by his sons, Kenneth Watson Jr. (Rebecca) and Vince Watson, as well as his step-sons, Jonathon Gerard Jr. (Brandi) and Nicholas Gerard (Julia). He was a proud grandfather to Nathan Jones, Vada Watson, and many more cherished grandchildren. He is also remembered by his brother, Rich Watson, and his sister, Rosy Die. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, along with ten siblings.

Visitation will be held on April 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania, located at 3655 King Rd, Toledo, OH 43617 and a funeral service will follow at 12 PM. Burial will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
