Kenneth A. Jones Jr.

Kenneth Alton Jones, Jr, age 78, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. The son of Kenneth Sr. and Julia Jones, he was born April 30, 1944 in Waycross, GA. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed in Key West, FL. He worked for Bell South for 30 years before retiring. Ken enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, golf, cooking and painting Bob Ross oil prints. Ken was a member of the American Legion #99, 32 degree of the Bahia Shrine, Orlando Moose #766, Orlando Eagles #3643, PRUCA, Riverview Yacht Club and Harbor View Yacht Club. At one time he volunteered with the Florida Fish and game.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne R. Jones; children, Cathy Sutton, Ted Betzner, Diana Wenzel, Keith (Happy) Thompson, Kevin Thompson; grandchildren, Eric Thompson, Stephanie Wenzel, Shannon Bradshaw; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverview Yacht Club. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Neurofibromatosis Foundation.
