Kenneth J. Dooley, age 55, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born July 28th, 1954 to John and Alice (Malone) Dooley in Toledo. Ken was employed with the former Conrail Railroad for 20 years. He was also a franchise owner of Marcos Pizza in Coldwater, Michigan for 10 years. Ken was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance and Way, Railroad Union and a parishioner at St. Clement Catholic Church. He served as the CYO Girls Basketball Sports Commissioner for 10 years, while his daughters attended grade school at St. Clement School. Ken enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake; golfing, trips to the casinos and watching the horse races at Raceway Park. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a big supporter of Notre Dame. Most importantly Ken was a proud father and enjoyed spending time with his daughters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Mason. Ken is survived by his loving daughters, Jen (Steve Bicanovsky) Dooley and Katie (Russ) Maskey and Christy Crandall, who was like-a-daughter; sister, Pat (Jim) Baldwin; companion, Sue Colton; former wife, Diane Dooley; lifelong friend, Joe Perretti and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300), where "Memories" will be shared at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Officiating will be Fr. Michael Brown.
