Kenneth J. "Ken" Eble, age 90, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, with loving family by his side. He was born on April 1, 1931 to Edward and Josephine Eble in Toledo, OH. Ken graduated from Woodward High School where he played basketball, ran track and cross country. He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. Ken worked at Columbia Gas for over 34 years before retiring. He was an avid bowler, even bowling (3) 300 games. Ken enjoyed golfing, traveling and casino trips with his late wife, Wanda. He looked forward to time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ken's smile, spirit and sense of humor will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, and loving wife, Wanda, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Monday; and brother, Ralph Eble. Left to cherish Ken's memory are his loving children, Doug (Mary) Eble and Peggy (Mike) Krasniewski; grandchildren, Mike (Magie) Eble, Eric (Andrea) Eble, Kevin (Hallie) Eble, Lucas Krasniewski, Jackie Krasniewski, and Katie (Eric) Loprete; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends here and in Canada.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Humane Society.
