Kenneth D. Frank, 89, passed away on October 7, 2013. He was born on March 27, 1924 to the late Homer and Elsie Frank in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Ken retired from the United States Postal Service after 36 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was a life-member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Ken was also affiliated with the VFW and Independent Order of Odd Fellows in BG. He valued his time spent with his family as seen through his dedication to the Frank Family Reunions. Ken enjoyed traveling, history, sharing stories and memories with everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded by his loving wife Betty; sons, Gary and Ronald; brothers, Leon, Carroll, Homer, Ralph, John, Keith; sisters, Nellie, Elsie, Gladys and Mildred. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter-in-law, Mary Frank; grandchildren, Melissa (Monty) Stollar, Chris Frank, Justin (Stephanie Marts) Frank; great-grandchildren, Addyson Frank and Zayda Stollar; along with many other close friends and relatives.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4030 Douglas Rd., Toledo. The family will also receive guests from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment at Toledo Memorial Park.
Memorial Donations may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
