Kenneth Baum

Kenneth L. Baum, age 62, of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 9, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Ohmar and Shirley (Taylor) Baum. Ken was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School where he played football and earned the distinction of All City as a Junior and Senior, and also All State as a Senior. He was also inducted in the Softball Hall of Fame in Ohio. He was employed with the Heinz Corporation as a fork lift operator. Ken enjoyed Ohio State Football and all Detroit sports teams.

Ken is survived by his son, Kenneth (Diana) Baum; daughter, Julie Sanchez; grandchildren, Julian & Olivia; sister, Kathryn (Frank) Obarski; brothers, Tim, Tom (Valerie), Larry, Terry and Richard Baum, and best friend, Colleen Chancey. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Kendzierski and brother, Michael Baum.

The family will receive guests, Monday, October 13, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
