Kenneth A. Hartle, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 17, 2014. He was born on August 6, 1931 to the late Christina and Edward Hartle in Rozellville, Wisconsin.
Ken taught for 20 years at Divine Word Seminary in Perrysburg. He retired from Toledo Hospital after 17 years of service. Ken loved the Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame Football. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and Ray; step-mother, Barbara and brother-in-law, Bill Wix. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Phyllis; children, Douglas (Christine), David (Connie), Karen (Cliff) Bartelt and Jeff (Carolyn Vogtsberger); daughter-in-law, Tonjia Hartle; sisters, Elaine Wix and Kathleen (Dennis) Leick; sister-in-law, Lynette; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his favorite dog, Gilligan.
The Memorial Mass will be held at Noon on Friday, November 21, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road in Rossford. Friends and Family may gather from 10:00 a.m. – Noon prior to the beginning of Mass.
