Ken Douge

Ken Douge, a beloved son, father, fiancé, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 19, 2025, in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 53. Born on February 4, 1972, Ken's life was marked by his deep love for music, nature, and the joy of being outdoors.

Ken dedicated over thirty years of his career as a tool and die maker with EDCO Tool and Die, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues through his exceptional skills and work ethic. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ken found great fulfillment and happiness in his personal life, where he was known for his generous spirit, caring nature, and a wonderful sense of humor that often came with a touch of sarcasm.

His passion for music was evident in his impressive record collection and his ability to play guitar, which he relished during gatherings. Ken had a zest for life that led him to enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and the simple pleasure of campfires in his backyard surrounded by friends and family. He also cherished the companionship of his dog, Milo, with whom he loved to take long walks.

Ken's proudest accomplishments were intertwined with his family, who he adored deeply. He is survived by his son Andy Douge, daughter Zoe Douge and her fiancé Dennis, Ken's fiancé Kellie Fellers, and son Camper Cardwell. He is also mourned by his parents, Thomas and Mary Ann Douge, brothers Bill Douge and his wife Lori, Keith Douge and his wife Diana, and sister Michelle Haubert. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends who will forever remember him for his kindness and laughter.

Ken was preceded in death by his daughter Lilly Rae Douge and brother-in-law Keith Haubert.

A visitation in memory of Ken Douge will be held on April 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, Ohio, 43623.

Ken’s impact on those around him was profound and will be cherished in the hearts of many. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to be celebrated by all who knew him.
