Kazimier E. 'Kaz' Sokolowski, age 80 of Toledo, passed away May 20th, 2010 at The Toledo Hospital. Kaz was born July 4th, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, while stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Kaz worked at Chrysler for 30 years as a tool engineer later retiring. His family will remember him as a master craftsman who was an avid ham radio operator (WA8MNR). Kaz is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia J. (Szparka); children, Sherry (Al) Blosser and Joe (Cindy) Sokolowski; grandchildren, Kristin, Jena, Callie, Matt and Josh.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Military Services will be rendered at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
