Kay E. Macallister

Kay Eileen (Brink) MacAllister age 69 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on May 20, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 29, 1954, to Joseph and Barbara (Mann) Brink.

Kay was employed at DPI (formerly Abitibi Price) for 25 years as a Quality Control Auditor and Administrative Assistant. Her life was filled with many joys, including trips to Marblehead with the Snyder family and with her good friends at Clark Lake in the Irish Hills. She enjoyed caring for her flowers, cooking with love, attending concerts, and spoiling her Great Danes. Her close Family was her greatest pride and joy.

Surviving is her son, Matthew MacAllister; siblings, Stacy (Jason) Bolinger, Danny (Sharon) Brink, Linda (Tom) Nestor, former husband, Michael MacAllister, and close friend, Mike Snyder. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph, and Barbara Brink.

The family would like to thank Dr. Akbani, Dr. Hauger and the entire care team for the exceptional care Kay received in her last years.
We will receive Family and friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel), 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 PM. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove, Toledo, Ohio. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
